A Lincoln house was heavily damaged by Monday afternoon. LFR Captain Nancy Crist says the duplex at 18th and Groveland was engulfed in flames when they arrived just before 3:00 p.m.
“There’s extensive damage inside and out, both the home and the detached garage,” Crist says. She says the wind fanned the flames, which spread to the garage behind the home.
Crist says an electrical short caused the fire. The lone resident wasn’t hurt and has been relocated. They are still trying to determine the extent of the damage.
