Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies was on patrol near 7th and Rokeby Road in southeast Lincoln around 2:00 Tuesday morning when they spotted a damaged vehicle parked in the middle of the road.

Houchin says the car had damage and two of the tires were flat.  He says 30 year old Benjamin Pavlovic was inside the car and initially told deputies the original driver ran away.  They were able to confirm that Pavlovic was the driver and that he was highly intoxicated.

He was taken to the Lancaster County Jail where his blood alcohol level was .208.  Pavlovic was booked for 3rd offense DUI and careless driving.  Houchin says on Sunday another man was arrested for his third DUI and had a blood alchohol level of .34

“I’m just glad deputies are able to find these individuals before they hurt somebody.”
