The Capital Humane Society will be opening a third location in a strip mall near 55th and O Street in the spring of 2024. At a Tuesday morning news conference executive director Matt Madcharo said the Stransky Veterinary Center will join the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center and Admissions and Assessment Center.
“The Stransky Veterinary Center will provide affordable and accessible veterinary care for all pet owners in our community, regardless of income.” The SVC will offer pet spay/neuter and preventative veterinary care services including vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, microchipping, deworming, heartworm testing & preventative along with other services.
“These services will be affordable for pet owners to increase the number of pets spayed/neutered and vaccinated in the community,” Madcharo says. The Pawsitive Impact Project program will relocate to the Stransky Veterinary Center and will continue to offer services to income qualified pet owners at reduced prices.
The facility is expected to open in March 2024. The project and location are made possible through a significant gift from the Leonard & Angeleen Stransky Charitable Trust. The location is being designed by BVH Architecture and constructed by Hampton Construction.
