Investigators are trying to determine what sparked a garage fire in the 1400 block of Folsom just before 6:00 Saturday night. LFR crews found heavy smoke coming from the garage when they arrived.
“They went in and found some people in the basement unware there was a fire and they had to help the people out of the home,” says Public Information Officer MJ Lierman. She says a second alarm was called due to the number of people in the house.
All six victims refused medical treatment and no injuries were reported. Lierman says the fire caused $20,000 to the garage and $30,000 to the contents.
