Lincoln Police were called to an apartment complex in the 500 block of Surfside to investigate a burglary around noon on Thursday, April 29th. The victim said she parked her vehicle in a secured garage at the complex overnight.
Sometime between 7 p.m. the night before and Thursday morning, someone removed the lock from her garage. Once inside they rummaged through her vehicle, damaged the windshield, took her purse, checkbook and a 380 handgun.
Officers processed the scene and searched the area. They are also requesting security video from neighbors. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
