A motorcycle rider learned that you can run from the law but you can’t hide. LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says the NSP helicopter spotted the man driving recklessly and committing traffic violations at Antelope Parkway and Vine Street around 7:30 Monday night.
NSP then contacted a Lincoln Police officer on the ground. “The officer attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of South 9th and ‘M’ Streets but the motorcycle rider did not stop and began to flee,” Thomas says.
“NSP Air continued surveillance of the motorcycle and observed the suspect get off his bike and into a vehicle near 8th and ‘O’ Streets.” Officers on the ground eventually took 26-year-old Dominyk Timmerman into custody.
He booked into jail for operating a vehicle to avoid arrest and cited for failing to signal a turn, no proof of insurance, no proof of ownership and willful reckless driving.
