Lincoln Police are investigating the theft of more than $5,000 worth of tools from three separate home construction sites. The first incident was reported on Monday by a construction worker who found that more than $1,500 in tools taken from a home under construction near N 108th and Majestic Lane.
“The items taken include a Milwaukee drill set, batteries, a multitool, a planer, a Craftsman leaf blower and a Husky work light,” says LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas. The victim believes the tools were taken sometime over the weekend of August 3 and 4.
Another construction worker in that same area reported more than $3,500 worth of power tools and equipment had been taken from a home under construction near N. 108th Street and Shore Front Drive.
“The items taken include Milwaukee drills, flood lights, batteries, multitools, charger, grinder, leaf blower and two tool bags of assorted tools, Thomas says.
The victim believes the tools were taken sometime over the weekend of August 10 and 11.
A third construction worker reported that a large portable speaker was stolen sometime during the weekend of August 10-11 from a site near N. 108th and Majestic Lane.
