Lincoln Police continues to investigate after a woman was struck by a vehicle near 1st and O Street around 5:45 Thursday morning.  “There was a vehicle driving westbound on West ‘O’ when a pedestrian entered the road,” says Public Information Officer Erika Thomas.

“The driver didn’t see the pedestrian until they collided.”  Thomas says the 32-year-old Lincoln woman suffered critical injuries that are non considered life-threatening.  Witnesses told police four other vehicles missed hitting the vehicle before she was struck.

Thomas says drugs and alcohol are not factors in the crash and the driver was not cited.
