If you are traveling this morning some light snow could lead to some slick conditions from Northeast Nebraska into Southwest Iowa. However Friday into Saturday may affect more widespread traffic plans.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a wintry mix of rain, freezing rain and light snow from noon Friday through Saturday afternoon across a good portion of Eastern Nebraska into Central and Southern Iowa.
Light snow accumulations are possible along and North of the I-80 corridor. Snowfall amounts are expected to remain under an inch. The latest outlook indicates snow will likely change over to a wintry mix/freezing rain Saturday night.
Single-digit to below-zero wind chills are expected across most of the area Friday morning.
