Investigators are trying to determine what started the back of a house on fire near 84th and Holdrege around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. LFR says a neighbor reported thick, black smoke coming from the backside of the house.
The residents managed to evacuate safely. LFR Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says the fire was put out quickly and firefighters were able to prevent it from spreading to the inside of the house. There was some smoke that made it inside.
There were no injuries reported.
