COVID Test Finds Tiddlywink Up A Nose

You know how Mom tried to teach you that you should never put anything up your nose? Here is a good reason why….and it is a good reason to go to the doctor when you don’t feel well.

For years, Mary McCarthy had been feeling pain in her nose and didn’t know why. It took a COVID-test to find out why…she had a Tiddlywink stuck in her nose….for over 35 years.

“My nose would be leaking constantly and I was just in a lot of pain.” – Mary McCarthy

For those who don’t know, Tiddlywinks is a game where you take little plastic discs and try to flip them into a cup using another plastic disc.

How Mary found out is when she wasn’t feeling good, she took a COVID-test and her nose started feeling even more pain than she had over her lifetime. It seems as though the little stick they put in your nose (which feels like they are scrambling your brain) pushed the Tiddle (if that is what you call a single Tiddlywink) farther into her nasal passages. She finally went to her doctor and they were able to remove the object, which had been calcified (and snot encrusted), which means that this plastic disc was about twice the size it was when she put it up her nose.

Miraculously, she can now breathe out of both nostrils.
