Lincoln Police say two people were assaulted by a group of people at Antelope Park around 1:00 Tuesday morning. An 18 year old woman told officers she and her 19-year-oldboyfriend were hanging out in the park and saw a group of people near her 2008 white Pontiac Grand Prix that was parked in the lot.
Officer Erin Spilker says when the couple approached the group they were assaulted by several people. The victim told officers two or three of people from the group then stole her car. The other people in the group fled the area possibly in a different vehicle.
Police say the victims both suffered facial cuts, but did not seek medical attention. The victim’s Grand Prix has Nebraska License Plate WFV560 and has not yet been located. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
