Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases, one involving the vandalism of a city bus and the other involving a larceny from a car parked outside of a south Lincoln residence.

The first case occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, at a bus stop near N. 27th and Superior Street.

LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller says a StarTran bus rider was turned away because he was trying to bring a large wagon onto the bus. He was told by the driver he would need to wait for the next bus, which had equipment to accommodate his wagon.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.

The second case occurred on Friday, August 22, 2025, at a south Lincoln residence near 56th and Pioneers Boulevard.

Keller says the victim in this case reported going to the bank around the noon hour, but afterwards noticed a light colored van following him back to his residence.

The van was later identified to be a newer model silver Honda Odyssey. The victim told investigators he went inside his home for less than three minutes and when he returned, found his passenger window smashed and $700 cash missing.

Keller says a nearby police cruiser happened to capture on camera a black male in a gray Nike jacket and black Adidas pants seen exiting the van of interest, which parked nearby on South 56th and La Salle.

The police cruiser video matched up with the person shown on other security footage, responsible for breaking the window and taking the cash.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.
