The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office sent an alert out Easter Sunday morning about a text message you may have received concerning an outstanding traffic violation. LSO Public Information Officer Kelsey Cruz says it’s a scam.
“We are encouraging folks to completely ignore and delete the text. Do not scan any QR codes, engage, or provide any personal or payment information.” The text warns this is the final notice and the matter is under active court enforcement.
It also lists a number of potential penalties if action is not taken.
