Frahm named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week

Nebraska pitcher Jordy Frahm has one more souvenir from her senior weekend for the Cornhuskers: Big Ten Pitcher of the Week. The conference named Frahm conference pitcher of the week for the second time in the month of April Monday.

Frahm earned two of Nebraska’s three wins over Iowa in the Huskers’ final home weekend of the regular season. She pitched to an 0.64 ERA while striking out 17 and walking just two in 11 innings, allowing four hits and one run. On Senior Day Saturday, Frahm allowed three hits and no runs in five innings. Frahm and Nebraska has won 15 straight and 29 of the last 30 games heading into the final weekend of the regular season at Penn State. The Huskers open their series with the Nittany Lions Friday at 4 p.m., in University Park, Pa., with pregame coverage at 3:45 p.m on B-107.3.
