Lincoln Police have released an update on a fatal crash investigation from last winter.  Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says investigators determined there was probable cause to cite 47-year-old Michael Hughes of Denton in the incident.

Police say 88-year-old Joan Meyer of Avoca was struck by a vehicle just before 9:00 a.m. on Jan. 31 and died Feb. 4. Thomas says Hughes was driving his 2010 red Chevy Silverado pickup truck south on 14th Street and stopped at a stop sign just before the intersection.

She says he attempted to turn left onto G Street and struck Meyer, who was on her way to the Walk of Life when she was struck. She was then taken to the hospital where she died from a head injury.

On May 11, Robertson arrived at the Hall of Justice to be fingerprinted, photographed, cited and released for misdemeanor Motor Vehicle Homicide.
