The Capital Humane Society is inviting the public to bring themselves and their pets to a major community fundraiser this Saturday in Palmyra. The annual Tails and Trails Pet Festival will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at Glacial Till Vineyard.
Shana Perry, director of development and marketing, tells KLIN News the family-friendly event will feature half-mile and one-mile walks, live music, food trucks, vendor booths, games, and activities for both pets and people.
Attendees can enjoy everything from pet painting and bobbing for tennis balls to croquet and ladder ball. A bounce house will also be available. Food vendors on site include Crepe Cafe, SoCal Tacos, Mary Ellen’s, ChiStyle Kitchen, World Plates, and Sweet Treats.
Perry says this is one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers of the year, with a goal of raising $80,000. “It benefits the pets and programs at Capital Humane Society and Stransky Veterinary Center,” Perry says. “Every dollar raised goes directly to the pets in our care.”
Registration is $15 in advance for adults over 17 and $20 at the door. For more information click here.
