Nebraska was tabbed as the No. 13 national seed and will host South Dakota State, Arizona State and Ole Miss in the first NCAA baseball regional in Lincoln since 2008.
The Cornhuskers were 42-15 on the season, earning second place in the Big Ten while piling up a 23-1 record at home. They’ll face the Jackrabbits (24-31), who upset Oral Roberts in the Summit League Tournament finals. Nebraska dropped SDSU March 4 by a score of 5-4. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. Friday, with pregame coverage starting at 2:30 p.m. on KLIN.
The other two teams in the regional are previous national champions. Arizona State (37-19) of the Big 12 and Ole Miss (36-21) of the SEC will battle in the other first-round game in the Lincoln regional, with first pitch scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday night.
The winner of the Lincoln Regional will face the winner of the Auburn regional in Super Regionals. Along with the Tigers, UCF, North Carolina State and Milwaukee are in that regional.
