The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says an inmate has been reported missing from the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln. Officials say Amanda Eckmann did not return Monday afternoon from a job seeking furlough.
Her electronic monitoring device was found in Lincoln near 44th St and Superior St. Eckmann started her sentence on July 24, 2024. She was sentenced to two years and six months to six years and 12 months for criminal possession of four or more financial transaction devices and possession of a controlled substance. She has a tentative release date of November 6, 2027.
Eckmann is a 34-year-old white female, 5’ 5”, 120 lbs. with blond hair and blue eyes. Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
