Lincoln Police Searching For Pair of Vandals

By Tom Stanton Jun 3, 2026 | 6:00 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is looking for help in identifying suspects in two separate vandalism cases.  LPD’s Becky Keller says On Sunday, May 24th, a citizen reported a man was vandalizing stop signs near 46th and L Street around 2pm.

“He said the man came up to him and was screaming something about Israel, then said some crude things to him, before he left on foot,” Keller says. “When officers arrived, they found two stop signs to have spray paint on them.”

Keller says the signs couldn’t be cleaned up and had to be replaced. “Thankfully a bystander caught some good images of the individual we are looking for. He was carrying a ladder with him and had a tattoo on his right bicep.”

The second case happened on Friday, May 15th, when a call came into the Lincoln Police Department that a vehicle near 13th and New Hampshire was vandalized overnight. “The victim was getting ready to leave for work in the morning when he realized the rear passenger window of his vehicle had been smashed in and the door handle damaged,” Keller says. “A large brick was located on the back floor of the car.”

Around 1:30am that same night, Keller says a man approached the victim’s front door and began explaining he and his friends were drinking, before the video cut out. “Lincoln Police would like to talk to him about this incident.” He has a cross tattoo on the left side of his neck, and what appeared to be maybe another tattoo on the back left side of his head.
