Nebraska softball picked up its third transfer addition from the portal, as outfielder Samantha Bolding announced that she is transferring to NU from Toledo. She has two years of eligibility remaining, and earned MAC Freshman of the Year and second-team All-MAC honors in 2025, hitting .322 with 13 home runs and 35 RBI. Last year, Bolding hit .353 with 13 home runs and 10 doubles for the Rockets.

“Sammie adds a powerful bat to our team, as she belted 13 home runs and 10 doubles last season,” Coach Rhonda Revelle said in a statement. “She is an athletic, versatile defensive player who also packs a punch offensively. We are ecstatic Sammie chose Nebraska, as she will be an important piece of the puzzle in our success in 2027.”

Bolding joins Faith Aragon and Lorin Boutte as portal pickups for the Cornhuskers, who will need to replace six starters and 12 seniors from last year’s Women’s College World Series team.
