…FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING…
The area covered by this watch includes portions of southwest Iowa, specifically the counties of Fremont and Page. In Southeast Nebraska, the following counties: Cass, Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Saline, and Seward.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying, flood-prone areas.
Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall may produce localized totals of 3 to 5 inches within the Flood Watch area Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
