Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two men caught on surveillance cameras in separate investigations. LPD’s Becky Keller says on July 29th a resident in the area of 51st and Prescott reported a suspicious person on his property after reviewing doorbell camera footage.
“The video shows a white man believed to be in his 30s wandering around the property while carrying an unknown object. The homeowner says he does not know the man or why he was there.”
In the second case, investigators are trying to identify a man connected to a vehicle theft near 13th and H Streets on June 2. “An employee at work took a break on some stairs behind his business,” Keller says. “When he sat down, he didn’t notice that his car keys fell out of his pocket. Moments later, another individual is seen on camera walking by the stairs.”

Keller says the suspect sat down right next to the keys, placed his backpack on top of them before the video ends. “The victim would then find his vehicle stolen. He was able to track his car keys with a keychain tracker which led him to Matt Talbot kitchen where he found the vehicle unoccupied,” Keller says.
