Nebraska voters can learn more about three statewide ballot initiatives at public hearings in Lincoln, Kearney and Omaha in October. The Secretary of State’s Elections Division announced the schedule Wednesday for Initiative 440, Online Sports Wagering Authorization; Initiative 441, Online Sports Wagering Regulation; and Initiative 442, Fairness for Girls.
State law requires public hearings in each of Nebraska’s three congressional districts. The Lincoln hearings will be held in Room 1525 at the State Capitol, 1445 K St., with the Fairness for Girls hearing scheduled for Oct. 14 and the two online sports wagering measures scheduled for Oct. 15. Both sessions run from 6 to 9 p.m.
