Oregon quarterback Dante Moore was listed as “out” for the Ducks’ game against Nebraska on Oct. 17 on the Big Ten’s injury report, released Wednesday night. Moore sustained a concussion after a vicious hit by USC linebacker Desman Stephens in the second quarter of Oregon’s game against the Trojans Oct. 3. Moore missed last week’s game against UCLA, a 17-15 loss for the Ducks.

Former Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola stepped in for Moore in the USC game and played well, completing 19-for-25 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns. But against the Bruins, Raiola played poorly completed 6-of-19 passes for 43 yards and two interceptions. Brock Thomas, a former walk-on, stepped in for him and completed 11-of-15 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown as a late Oregon comeback bid came up short. Ducks coach Dan Lanning said earlier in the week there would be a competition for the starting QB job if Moore wasn’t available.

The injury report news wasn’t all rosy for the Cornhuskers, as starting safety Jamir Conn was ruled out. Conn left last week’s Indiana game with an injury.

Nebraska faces Oregon Saturday at 10 p.m. in Eugene, Ore. Pregame coverage begins at 6 p.m. on KLIN and Froggy 98.
