Hometown Hero – Josh Hicks

By Maria Hansen Nov 1, 2023 | 11:37 AM

There are heroes among us, working every day to make our communities great. Froggy98 and Hometown Hero Appliance Repair want to recognize these deserving heroes and share their stories!

This month we are honored to recognize JOSH HICKS.

Josh was nominated by a friend, Stacey.

“Josh was driving to Kansas City for a softball tournament with his daughter when he saw a van veer off the Interstate ramp and roll upside down into a lake.

Josh immediately jumped out of the car while his daughter Riane called 911. A sheriff’s deputy was conducting a traffic stop nearby and saw Josh jump out of his car, so joined him to see what was going on.

Four passengers had already escaped the van, but another man remained stuck inside under shoulder-high water. Josh pulled out the remaining unconscious passenger, saving his life!”

Watch Josh’s surprise and hear his side of the story with the video below.
