Hometown Hero – Robin Swanson

By Maria Hansen Dec 4, 2023 | 3:44 PM

There are heroes among us, working every day to make our communities great. Froggy98 and Hometown Hero Appliance Repair want to recognize these deserving heroes and share their stories!

This month we are honored to recognize ROBIN SWANSON.

Robin is the manager at a local Casey’s, and was nominated by a “regular” customer, Tom.

“Earlier this year, Robin realized that one of her employees hadn’t returned from break, so she went outside to check on her. The employee was in her vehicle since it was cool that morning and was running the vehicle. The catalytic converter on their vehicle had been stolen and so gas fumes had filled up the car.

Robin removed her employee from the vehicle and started CPR. EMTs arrived shortly and they commented that if it wouldn’t have been for Robin’s quick actions that the employee wouldn’t have survived. They estimated that she was legally dead for close to 2 and half minutes. For her actions in saving this individual’s life, I feel that Robin deserves to be recognized as a Hometown Hero. She is just an everyday individual that stepped in and helped save someone’s life.”

Watch Robin’s surprise and hear her side of the story with the video below.
